and it is flipping weird.
Stephanie Meyer definitely picked up some of her vampire tips from there. Reading minds? Immortal children?
I mean, I guess it’s well filmed and the dialogue is good and the plot is pretty original but the whole movie was just kind of a collective “WTF” moment for me. Brad Pitt was hot but awkward, Kirsten Dunst was a 5 year old creeping on Brad Pitt (AND kissed him, if I might add—the most awkward part of the whole movie) and all those vampires seducing women and then sucking their blood just got kind of sad. It started out okay and then just went downhill.
Oh well.
Hipster Ann Rice wrote about vampires before they were cool and made it into a movie with hotter people than the Twilight cast.
